NOTICE: The HTML5 version of Platform Kid, plus the current downloadable files that contain Platform Kid are only the Demo versions of the game, only consisting of the first world, which is Grassy Valley.

Welcome to the vibrant world of Platform Kid!

Before we start, let’s fill y’all in on what the big deal is.

📖The Story

In the colorful and upbeat world of Hophop Land, there lived a generic platformer character/farmboy named Platform Kid. He resides with his beloved girlfriend, Platform Girl, along with the numerous farm animals that they dearly love. Everything was simply just peaceful. But folks, not everything good in a video game apparently has to last, y’know. 

One fateful day, however, Platform Kid was off to collect some hay to feed their farm animals, and gave a clear reason on leaving both Platform Girl and the farm animals alone, because all of a sudden, BOOM! An evil scientist named Dr. Science and his henchmen, the Butcher Bandits, appear right on Platform Kid’s land!, and not only do they kidnap all of the farm animals, but also kidnap Platform Girl as well, and very much NEEDS Platform Kid’s help.

Platform Girl’s cries for help were heard by none other than Platform Kid, as he immediately rushes back to the farm, only to get back with nothing in sight, and what remained in his debris is a singular note left by Dr. Science himself on the ground. Platform Kid picks up and reads the note, and it’s basically Dr. Science showing off his evil plan to the little white lad, and that he gloats to the latter that he doesn't even KNOW the way to his laboratory.

Welp, that one letter did the trick. Platform Girl and the farm animals definitely needed a hero now, and who knows what Dr. Science might do to them? So, Platform Kid to the rescue! Platform Kid sets off on a grand adventure across various locations to rescue both his beloved Platform Girl and the farm animals as well. And so, Platform Kid’s big adventure begins…

🕹️Gameplay

In Platform Kid, what you have to do in EVERY level (except for boss fights) is find a total of 5 keys, and doing so will you gain access to the exit door to clear a level. Most of the time, these keys will either be easy to find or may require some open platforming and thinking outside-of-the box. For Platform Kid's moveset, as he really is just a generic platformer character (also a farmer at that), all he can really do is walk, run, jump, double-jump, and that's it. Simple to grasp, easy-to-understand. Also, this game really encourages exploration, as you won't always have to get to Point A to Point B. You're going to have to jump off the main route in order to find your way over to Point B. Who knows where these keys can be found?

Arrow Keys: Walk

Z Key/Spacebar: Jump

X Key (while holding down either Left or Right): Run

While in the air, press the Jump key again to double-jump.
